Through my work, I find expressing myself with oils on canvas works best for me. Being born in Kentucky but raised in Canada has given me a wide range of cultural experience. Then as an adult, I moved back to the United States and settled down in a small country town in northern Alabama.
Having been an artist for most my life, it has been rewarding in many ways. But I had to take time off from creating the work I love due to having a stroke and heart issues at a very young age, after going though the hardest point of my life caused by health issues I have had to relearn how to create art and refine my techniques. After returning to creating art I wake every morning searching for beauty to put on canvas to share with the rest of the world, each stroke of the brush reflects the rebirth of myself and my work.
Presently I am still studying the masters before me and my peers of today, gathering new techniques to refine my skills to the fullest of my abilities; one of my greatest loves is to study the great masters of yesterday.
After surviving three back to back strokes, I have overcome the turmoil of life’s journeys; you can find my style reflects life like portraits, landscapes, florals, pet portraits, and architectural wonders’ of the world.
My work can be found though out the great state of Alabama and Tennessee in private collector’s homes, businesses, and Galleries including Bucks Art Expo Gallery in which I own. My hopes are to continue creating beautiful pieces of art and to share them with others that will enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them.
